Before using the appliance, carefully read this important information and the user manual.
Danger
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, and do not rinse it under the tap.
Warning
Before plugging in the appliance, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches the local mains voltage.
Do not use the appliance if the plug, power cord or appliance itself is damaged, if it has been dropped and/or if water is leaking from it.
Do not connect the appliance to a direct power supply.
Always entrust the appliance to a Gecko-Steamer Authorized Service Center for repair or inspection. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself; any unauthorized intervention will void the warranty.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an Authorized Service Center or a qualified technician to prevent any accident.
Never leave the appliance unattended while it is plugged in.
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and over, by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by persons lacking experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
When you have finished steaming, when filling or emptying the water tank, when cleaning or rinsing the appliance, or whenever you leave it unattended even briefly, unplug it from the mains.
Keep the appliance and power cord out of the reach of children.
Make sure children do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
Only plug the appliance into a grounded wall outlet.
Do not open the drain plug while the appliance is switched on. Before opening it, follow the cooling-time recommendation in the user manual.
Warning
Do not place the appliance on a surface with the steamer head in contact with that surface while the appliance is hot or plugged into the mains.
During operation, make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot steam.
Keep the water tank closed after filling it and while using the appliance.
The plug must be connected to a power outlet with matching electrical specifications.
Never pull on the power cord to move or unplug the appliance.
Never direct the steam flow toward a person or animal.
The clothes steamer is intended solely for vertical steaming; its use must not be modified in any way.
Caution
Regularly check the condition of the power cord.
Beware of hot steam and hot water escaping from the steam nozzle during use. Steam and hot water can cause burns. Use the appliance with care because it emits steam.
The end of the steamer head can become very hot and may therefore cause burns if touched.
Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
Do not place the steamer base on a table or chair; place it on the floor during use.
If the hose forms a U-shape, steam may condense inside it. This can cause irregular steam flow or water droplets to come out of the steamer head.
Do not use the appliance when the water tank is empty.
Warranty
This appliance is covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Any damage or malfunction resulting from failure to follow the safety, operating or maintenance instructions is not covered by the warranty.

Control panel functions
Power on/off button
The appliance has an automatic shut-off function. If no steam is released for 1 hour, the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds and the appliance switches off automatically.
Press the power button to restart the appliance.
Steam pressure indicator

Water level indicator
When the water level in the tank is low, the indicator light flashes and the buzzer sounds to indicate that water is running low. The appliance switches off automatically if no water is added within 3 minutes.
The indicator light comes on and remains steady when the water level drops in the boiler; this is normal.
Rinse reminder indicator
The indicator comes on after 15 cumulative hours of use to remind you to rinse the appliance. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds to reset the system and switch off the indicator.
Steam indicator

Continuous steam mode: press the steam button for 10 seconds. The steam indicator will flash three times, then remain steadily lit for continuous steam
On-demand steam mode: press the steam button for 3 seconds. The steam indicator will flash twice, then switch off for on-demand steam release
To avoid water marks on garments, before ironing press the steam button and release steam into the air for five seconds
Water & use
Which water to use
Demineralized water is ideal if it is specifically produced for steam appliances.
Distilled water should be avoided. Its acidity can be harmful to the metals and seals in your appliance. It must be mixed with non-acidic water.
Tap water can be used. If your water is hard, plan regular rinsing according to the intensity of use. Excessive limescale deposits can stain garments and cause malfunctions.

The appliance automatically informs you when maintenance is required after 15 hours of use.
If you use demineralized water, you can ignore this procedure and reset the appliance.
Reset button
Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds to reset the system and switch off the rinse reminder light and the reset-button light.

Rinsing
If you use tap water :
Plan regular rinsing. By default, the appliance alerts you after 15 hours of use, but the frequency depends on water hardness and intensity of use.
• Plug in the appliance and switch it on • Press the cleaning switch located on the handle (o)
• When the appliance is hot and ready (pressure indicator), press the steam button over a container
• The process is complete when no more dirty water comes out
• Return the switch to steam mode
HOT WATER! Before handling the appliance, allow it to cool for 2 HOURS after the last use
• Unscrew the drain plug underneath the appliance, clean it and refit it, tightening it correctly
⚠️ Restarting after rinsing
Wipe the soleplate
Check that the rear switch on the steam head is in “steam” mode
Switch on the appliance
Wait until the 4 indicator lights are steady and the red iron indicator light switches off
Purge the steam for a few seconds away from textiles
➡️ Dry steam ready for use
⚠️ Water splashes after rinsing
Check that the rear switch on the steam head is in “steam” mode
Check that the iron is hot (the red indicator light switches off after the heating period)
Press the “steam release” button
Wait until residual condensation has been expelled with the steam (a few tens of seconds)
