STEAM WETS MY CLOTHES GK30 - LM44 - LS98
1- Either the boiler is scaled (excessive limescale deposit). The steam temperature is insufficient and condenses too quickly. To remove limescale (see instructions for use of the device): If you use tap water, descaling operations must be planned. The frequency depends on the level of limescale in the water and the intensity of use of your device. When the limescale deposit is visible, it is time to clean. With heating, the lime deposit becomes as hard as stone and can lead to a total loss of performance. To remove limescale: - Fill the tank with water and an acid specific for steam appliances only. You can also use household vinegar at 14° with a 50/50 water mixture. - Place the tank on the base. - Heat for 30 seconds and stop heating. - Leave for 30 minutes and rinse with clean water. - To rinse, remove the accessories and empty the water by turning the device over. Repeat the operation 2 times. Maintenance: Use a soft, damp cloth without detergent to clean the diffuser head, the metal soleplate and the shell of the device. After descaling, use a cloth the first time you use it to ensure that there is no residue left from the vinegar+water mixture, which could stain clothing. Warning: the operations described above require you to protect yourself and therefore equip yourself with glasses, gloves covering your forearms and a mask. If this operation does not resolve the difficulties linked to limescale, the boiler will have to be replaced.
2- Either the shell of the steam diffuser is cracked (following an impact). Air at room temperature infiltrates the diffuser and condenses the vapor. The solution is to replace the steam diffuser.
Do not work in the environment of an air conditioning device. Shake the diffuser head before each use to remove condensation residue.
